Terms and Conditions
This is a draft. It has not been checked by a lawyer. Read every clause, change what does not match how you actually work, and delete this notice before publishing.
1. Who this agreement is between
These terms govern your use of this billing service, operated by the company named on this site ("we", "us"). By creating a company account and using the service you accept them. If you are accepting on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to do so.
2. What the service does
We provide software for raising invoices, recording purchases and payments, tracking stock, and preparing GST figures. We prepare figures from what you enter. We do not file returns for you, and we are not your accountant or tax adviser.
3. Your account
- You are responsible for what is done under your login, and for keeping your password to yourself.
- Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has used your account.
- Each user should have their own login. Shared logins make it impossible to say who did what.
4. Your data is yours
The invoices, parties, items and books you enter belong to you. We do not sell them, and we do not use them to advertise to you or anyone else. We access them only to run the service, to fix a fault you have reported, or where the law requires it.
5. Accuracy of what you enter
Figures shown by the service - including GST summaries, trial balance and balance sheet - are worked out from the documents you enter. If a bill is wrong, every report built on it is wrong. Check your figures, and have them reviewed before you file anything.
6. Payment and renewal
- Charges and the plan period are as agreed when you sign up.
- We will warn you inside the software before your plan expires.
- Non-payment may lead to the account being suspended. We will tell you before that happens, and you will be able to obtain your data.
7. Availability
We aim to keep the service running and available, but we do not promise it will never be interrupted. Maintenance, network faults and matters outside our control can all cause downtime.
8. What we are not liable for
We are not liable for loss arising from figures entered incorrectly, from returns filed late or wrongly, or from business decisions taken on the basis of reports produced by the service. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Ending the agreement
You may stop using the service at any time. We may end it where these terms are seriously or repeatedly broken. On ending, you may ask for an export of your data within a reasonable period.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the foot of this page shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts named in your agreement have jurisdiction. Replace this with your own city and state.
