Privacy Policy

Last updated 18 September 2026

BizGst is billing, stock and GST software for Indian businesses, used on the web at bizgst.com and through the BizGst Android app. This policy covers both.

1. What we collect

  • Your account — name, email address, mobile number and a hashed password. We never store the password itself.
  • Your company — business name, address, GSTIN, logo and signature, because these are printed on your invoices.
  • What you enter — invoices, customers, suppliers, items, orders, payments and the rest of your books.
  • Device and session records — device name, platform, app version, the time you signed in, and the IP address it came from. These exist so you can see and revoke your signed-in devices, and so misuse can be spotted.
  • Pictures you choose — if you add a photograph to an item, that image is uploaded and stored with the item.

2. What the Android app asks permission for

  • Camera — only when you tap Camera to photograph an item. The app does not open the camera at any other time.
  • Photos — only when you tap Gallery to pick an existing picture for an item. We read the one image you select. We do not browse or upload your library.
  • Notifications — to alert you about your own account and documents.
  • Internet and network state — to reach the server, and to tell you when you are offline.

The app asks for nothing else. It does not access your contacts, your location, your call logs, your messages or your files.

3. Why we hold it

To run the service for you: to show your books, produce your documents, keep you signed in, and support you when something goes wrong. We do not sell personal information, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use your business data for advertising.

4. Who can see it

  • The users you create inside your own company account.
  • Our staff, only where it is needed to run the service or fix a fault you reported.
  • Nobody else, unless the law requires it.

Companies on this service are kept in separate databases. One company’s users cannot see another company’s books.

5. How long we keep it

Your books are kept while your account is active. Indian GST law requires a business to keep its records for 72 months from the due date of that year’s annual return, so invoices are retained for at least that long even if a user is removed.

Sign-in records and device sessions are kept for up to 12 months. Expired refresh tokens are cleared automatically.

6. Security

Traffic runs over HTTPS. Passwords are stored as salted hashes. Sessions on the app use short-lived access tokens with a refresh token tied to the device, and you can revoke a device at any time by signing out everywhere.

7. Deleting your account

You can ask us to delete your account at any time — you do not need the app installed:

bizgst.com/delete-account

That page explains exactly what is removed and what has to be kept.

8. Children

BizGst is business software. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

9. Changes

If this policy changes we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes will be told to you inside the product.
